Meech launches new Hyperion SmartControl device at Plast 2018

Meech International is using PLAST 2018 (Rho Fiera Milano Fairground 15, C07) to launch The Hyperion SmartControl, a brand new remote monitoring and performance adjusting controller for the company’s popular range of Hyperion anti-static bars. Meech is also giving an exhibition debut to the IonWashTM, a solution for the fast and consistent removal of contamination from 3D plastic components, and to the 924EX, as well as showcasing its comprehensive range of static control and web cleaning products.

“PLAST provides the perfect platform for Meech to highlight its applications for the plastics industry,” explains Adam Battrick, Sales Director at Meech International. “By displaying our varied and flexible range of ionising and surface cleaning systems, we are giving visitors and potential customers an insight into the importance of tackling static control and cleanliness issues which appear in plastic applications.”

Meech’s Hyperion SmartControl offers ease of communication between connected devices through LAN or WAN networks, allowing for continuous observation and alteration to static bar performance. The control system, which has been designed for use with Meech’s Hyperion static control equipment, allows for quick remote adjustment through a single interface, reducing the need for onsite monitoring.

“Using the Hyperion SmartControl, operators of Hyperion static control equipment can access their static bar performance information on a remote device and adjust the operating settings to achieve maximum productivity and quality output” says Battrick.

Designed to eliminate static electric charges for short range applications in hazardous environments, Meech’s 924EX joins SmartControl on the stand. With the same outstanding levels of performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance as Meech’s pulsed DC technology, the 924EX is robust and built for the most arduous of settings, including that of gravure printing, film extrusion and coating applications.

The recently launched IonWashTM also makes its first public appearance at PLAST. Meech’s IonWashTM cleaning system incorporates extremely powerful ionisation, as well as blow and vacuum airflows to achieve reliable and effective contamination removal from complicated 3D components across a variety of sectors, including automotive, aerospace and electronics.

“As with all of our products, those on show at PLAST have been designed following extensive research and feedback from our customer base,” concludes Battrick. “Our customers are fundamental to the development of our new products and help us devise new ideas to counter static control and surface contamination issues on production lines.

“We are exhibiting at Plast with our Italian distributor Airex and are pleased to say that we’ve enjoyed a busy start to the show, and we’re looking forward to continuing to welcome visitors. Experts are on hand from both Meech and Airex to explain how our products can work for a variety of businesses and help them improve productivity and reduce wastage on their production lines.”
