Injection moulding robot set down

PROBLEM

Static charges on injection moulded components being stacked by a pick and place robot can result in

  • Attraction of airborne contamination
  • Products repelling from the stack and stack height variance, resulting in damage or stacks falling over
  • Electrostatic shocks to operators handling the product during the packing process

SOLUTION

Positioning a Meech Hyperion bar over the end of the conveyor neutralises the charges on all faces of the product as it is delivered. This:

  • prevents contamination attraction,
  • prevents product repelling from each other
  • Prevents operators from charging to then receive electrostatic shock when touching metalwork
