Pill Bottle Packing
PROBLEM
- Tablets are transported via vibrating feeders to drop through a counter to sit on slide gates. Static charges generated on the tablets cause them to stick to the gate rather than drop when the gates open. This results in miscounts.
- As this application is governed by FCA regulations, and cleaning with Hydrogen Peroxide any ionising equipment’s used should be compliant with FCA regulations.
Controlling the static charges is the key to overcoming these issues.
SOLUTION
A Meech Hygiene bar mounted at the end of the vibrating feeder above the entry to the counter is a successful way of controlling the static charges which cause the tablets to stick to the slide gate.
