Screenprinting

PROBLEM

  • Static charges are created by the friction between the squeegee and the silk screen. The static charges can be seen in the print and sheet handling during printing as:-
  • Pin holes in block colour
  • Print edges being undefined
  • Ink bridging between the substrate and the screen leaving ink tags
  • Substrate being reattracted to the screen on separation contaminating the screen with wet ink

SOLUTION
Mounting a Hyperion bar to the squeegee side of the print head, neutralises the static charges on the screen immediately after the ink has been applied.
