Shrink sleeve

Static Control on Shrink Sleeving Preventing Label Alignment Issues

PROBLEM

Bottle sleeving is prone to the sleeve not sitting in the correct position on the container. This results in the sleeve being shrunk in the incorrect position.

Static charges will snap the sleeve shut before it has dropped to the correct position on the container. This results in the sleeve shrinking incorrectly positioned as it passes through the shrink tunnel. Rework is then required to remove and relabel the container.

SOLUTION

Neutralising the sleeve as it is being positioned onto the container will prevent electrostatic charges from stopping the label from sitting in the correct position.

Mounting a 924IPS bar behind the label delivery head will neutralise the electrostatic charges.
