Meech International is displaying its popular range of Hyperion ionising bars and comprehensive web cleaning systems at ICE Europe (Hall A6 – Stand 233) this week, providing the company the opportunity to demonstrate its fundamental understanding of the converting industry.
“Meech routinely responds to customer feedback when designing systems for static control and web cleaning applications. This means that our customers in the converting industry can rest assured that our products will answer their specific needs,” explains Area Manager, Ralph Simon. “Whether it’s developing ionising bars for specific OEMs or designing web cleaners that incorporate fluid dynamic principles to achieve higher levels of cleanliness, we are constantly improving the overall quality of our products and services.”
Ralph goes on to explain how ICE Europe provides an ideal platform to discuss some of the latest trends that are shaping the converting industry. “Industry 4.0 is one of the main areas we’re exploring – more specifically interoperability. It is extremely valuable to have machines, devices and operators that connect and communicate with one another via the web. The opportunities this brings are very exciting. At present, we are exploring the ways this technology can be harnessed for static control systems.”
The complete range of Hyperion™ static control systems is being exhibited on the Meech stand, including the 971IPS, 924IPS and 929IPS pulsed DC ionising bars. The Hyperion range provides industry-leading static elimination, with the bars’ default settings allowing quick and easy installation for use on converting lines.
Also on display is Meech’s complete range of web cleaning systems, including the CyClean™ and the TakClean™. The CyClean™, a web cleaner that can handle virtually any substrate, is a compact non-contact system, featuring optimised cleaning efficiency that allows the removal of contamination to below 1 micron. The TakClean™ is a contact web cleaner that incorporates specifically formulated TransTak elastomer contact cleaning rollers and perforated adhesive rolls, which together, effectively remove particles from the surface of the web.
Ralph explains: “At a time when converters need to minimise wastage and achieve higher levels of productivity, it is important to capitalise on the strengths of highly efficient contact and non-contact web-cleaning systems.”
He concludes: “We are very much looking forward to our time here at ICE Europe and hope that those who come and visit our stand will leave with a clearer mind on how performance can be improved with the right ionising and web cleaning technology.”
