Blister Pill Packing

PROBLEM

Static charges generated during unwinding and thermoforming will attract contamination. Any attracted contamination will become part of the packing during thermoforming. 

Static charges on the pills will create feeding issues when pills stick on the delivery shoot or the pill feeder. 

Static charges generated during thermoforming will create issues when pills are inserted into the blisters. This will be seen by pills jumping out of the blisters. 

Static charges on the pills can result in the pill sticking to the glass cover of the inspection camera.

SOLUTION

  • Cleaning and neutralising the film after unwind remover risks of package contamination. 
  • Neutralising static charges on the blister packing after thermoforming reduces the risk of pill packing issue 
  • Neutralising the pills on the pill feeder allows the pills to drop down the filling tubes and into the blisters. 
  • Ensuring all components pass under the inspection camera statically neutral prevents the static attraction of pills to the lens blocking the camera view.
