PROBLEM

A calendar drying and pressing paper generates static charges, which if not controlled will result in sparks.  

These sparks lead to the risk of the paper dust igniting and causing fires. 

Controlling the static charges is the key to overcoming these issues. 

SOLUTION

The use of Meech ionising bars to control charges between the calendaring roller stages, will neutralise the static charges removing the risk of fires from static discharges.
