Cleaning Using Air Curtains

Application

The laminar sheet of air from an Air Curtain is commonly used to in the cleaning of dust and dirt from conveyors and work stations.

Example

A manufacturer of parts for the fire fighting industry was having difficulty removing brass chips from a chevron coated conveyor belt after a milling operation. The chips would return to the coolant and degrade its quality. They were also losing an amount of chips that would normally be recycled. An Air Curtain was placed at the exit of the milling machine to clean the belt and blow chips into a recycling bin before they were returned to the coolant.
