Large sheeting machine

PROBLEM

During reel to sheet processes static charges are generated, which can cause the sheets to misbehave and stop the process. Static charges are generated in the following areas

  • Unwinding
  • Guillotine
  • Shingling
  • Stacking

Machines with static issues on the product will need to be run at much slower speeds to allow the process to run continuously.

SOLUTION

  • Controlling static charges during the production process is required to allow the material to move and stack consistently.
  • There are three areas requiring static control.
  • Prior to the Guillotine
  • Prior to shingling
  • During stacking.

SmartControl can offer a static control overview and data logging to ensure the equipment is maintained to provide optimum performance needed to allow the process to run at higher speeds.
