Static Issues During Pallet Wrapping 

PROBLEM

Pallet wrapping causes a few problems dependant on the product that’s being wrapped.  

Areas of concern are: 

  • Ignition of aerosol can gas 
  • Attraction and transfer of contamination to product 
  • Electrostatic discharge to operators 

SOLUTION

Mounting Hyperion 936IPS blower after the nip rollers removes the charges from the stretch film overcoming the static blocking preventing the film from pulling off the fingers, which stops the packing process. 

For smaller wrapping machines a 24vDC Hyperion bar mounted parallel to the web allows the film to drag the ionisation with it to control the charges as the pallet is wrapped.
