Static Pinning Of Web To Core On Turret Rewind

Problem

Automated packaging machines splice new reels of material on the fly to allow continuous running. To achieve this, the ends of the reels must not be fixed to the core, which excludes the use of adhesives and double sided tape.

Solution

At the rewind of plastic extrusion lines, a 993R Generator Bar can operate in unison with the flying knife to pin the leading edge of the web to the new core. The 993R bar is connected to a 992v3 30kV generator, to provide powerful pinning.
