Yes, it is possible for IonWash to be able to clean both sides of a component provided the component is held in a suitable jig or fixture that allows the nozzles to be directed at both sides.
Yes, it is feasible for an IonWash system to be adapted for use in a conveyor belt production line. please reach out to your local Meech distributor or contact Meech directly for more assistance.
The IonWash system is very low maintenance. Details of maintenance required is included in the operating manual and is limited to periodically cleaning the ionisation pins contained within the nozzles and replacement of filters as required.
Yes, but only for the door operation. Compressed air usage is low at only 6.8 litres per IonWash cycle.
Customers of IonWash have typically reported a 4-month payback period.
The average power consumption for a single 25 second cycle has been recorded as 4.7kVA. Each 25 second cycle consumes 0.033kWhr.
The operator loading height for IonWash is 960mm when fitted with mounting feet. When fitted with castor wheels the loading height is between 960mm to 1090mm.
To prevent the powerful ionised airflow from moving the components during the cleaning cycle, it is recommended that components are held with jigs or fixtures. These can be 3D printed but are not supplied by Meech.
We recommend that you spend time on the initial IonWash setup. This includes:
- Correct positioning of the component in the cleaning zone
- Nozzle numbers
- Nozzle location
- Nozzle positioning
- Air pressure setting (via touch screen)
- Cycle time
Try starting with a 20 second cycle time with 16 nozzles installed and a 1Kpa air pressure setting and adjust the above until you find the optimum ratio for cycle time and cleaning effectiveness.
IonWash can be fitted with a maximum of 16 multi directional nozzles which can be fitted with additional nozzle adaptors. This means that the powerful blown ionised air can be directed at multiple areas of the component being cleaned. Therefore, areas of the component that trap contamination can be targeted for effective and consistent contamination removal.
