Meech launches new static control solution 945IPS Hyperion Ionising Bar

Hyperion-945IPS-Mid-Range-Ionising-Bar

Engineered to actively neutralise static build-up across large production areas, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our latest ionising bar for static management, the Hyperion 945IPS.

The result of careful research and development by Meech engineers, this product helps to mitigate the hazards of dust and contaminants, and in extreme cases, electrostatic discharge (ESD) or fire, that static electricity can cause in manufacturing settings such as packaging, packaging, pharmaceutical and food industries

Designed for mid-range applications between 150-600mm, the 945IPS  Hyperion Ionising Bar not only improves safety and enhances product quality but also boosts productivity and can drive significant cost savings. Its adaptable design means it is equally at home on high-speed production lines as it is in specialised operations.

With compact dimensions of just 30mm x 67mm that make it easy to install on printing and converting machinery, the Hyperion 945IPS is perfect for demanding applications, and its pulsed DC output up to a maximum of 15kV gives it class-leading performance and reliability. This results in less time spent on maintenance and more uninterrupted operations, directly contributing to cost savings and enhanced productivity for manufacturers.

A key element of the new system is its use of pure titanium emitter pins, selected for their exceptional corrosion resistance and durability. These components, combined with an optimised mounting system featuring a wider M4 T-slot and innovative T-slide design, ensure a secure and stable installation.

For manufacturers, this translates into safer working environments and a notable reduction in scrap rates, factors that can be critical for regulatory compliance and help maintain a strong reputation in competitive markets.

In blister packing, for example, product misbehaviour and permanent inclusions are induced by contamination attracted during the thermoforming and unwinding of a roll of plastic film. The 945IPS bar neutralises the material at the unwind, after thermoforming and at the unwind of the seal film – preventing the attraction of airborne contamination. End users in industries as varied as horizontal bagging, shrink sleeve and hot melt labelling – as well as those involved in bottle overwrapping, injection moulding and fibre optic coating can also benefit from the system.
