Conveying Plastic Granules Activating Metal Detector

Problem

The manufacture of plastic granules for the plastic industry, use an extrusion process prior to being cut to the required size. Transferring the granules through ducting results in electrostatic discharges. These discharges will activate a metal detector, causing product to be dumped into the reject bin.

Solution

Inline static control using a Meech 913 flow tube prior to the metal detector provides the ideal solution to this problem.
