Problem

Contamination on the web causes both print defects and also contaminates the inkjet printing heads themselves, dust and contaminants on the print heads will create poor print quality and require frequent cleaning. This shortens the print head life, therefore reducing overall efficiency and increasing production costs.

Solution

Installation of a 500mm wide CyClean web cleaning system on the press, installed immediately prior to the MemJet Ink Jet print station on the 200FPM, ensured that a clean and static free web is presented to the print station and inkjet heads, reducing head cleaning cycles and improving print quality.
