Window Patcher Film Sticking To Knife & Rollers

Problem

Cellophane and other materials used to create windows in packaging boxes and envelopes generate static charges as they unwind from the roll.

The rotary knife will generate high static charges on the lead and tail ends of the film. This will cause the film to stick to the knife and rollers, resulting in machine stoppages and loss of production.

Solution

Mounting a Meech 924IPS Bar over the materials web path prior to it entering the knife cylinder will neutralise the static charges on the material and prevent the material from sticking to the vacuum drums.

The benefit of the 924IPS Bar is that it only requires a 24V power supply, making installation easier.
