If the substrate, you need to be cleaned is a sensitive material, such as a filmic based polymer. We would recommend using one of Meech’s non-contact cleaning systems.

However, the VacClean’s unique brushed stainless-steel faceplates create minimal friction and abrasion to the material whilst still providing superior contamination removal.

How much noise will be produced will largely depend on the size of the manifold and what settings you run it at. The noise levels of the system manifold itself is always quieter than the AHU accompanying it. A 3 Pump AHU will create 72dBA, and a 6 Pump AHU 78dAB, far below the upper exposure limit of 85dBA making them safe to use with no PPE.

The Meech VacClean is the optimal solution for webs that are experiencing high levels of contamination. Substrates that would not be affected by contact cleaning, these could include paper based/fibrous materials, textiles, wood based etc.

The VacClean is available as both single- and double-sided cleaning to suit the application. If the system is double sided the manifolds should be spaced by a minimum of 80mm.

The VacClean manifolds can be installed on a web travelling at any angle without jeopardising cleaning performance

The VacClean is optimised to effectively clean at machines speeds of 1600m/min, or 5249ft/min.

For a double-sided system manifold should be staggered with a minimum of 80mm. Faceplates should be approximately 1mm from the web when taut, so that the web is sucked into contact when the system is in operation. Furthermore, the web must be in free air, away from rollers, conveyors, or the machine bed.
