PROBLEM

Static charges on materials in narrow web printing can result in issues, these may include:

• Attraction of dust to the substrate 
• Print plate contamination 
• Poor print quality 
• Stacking shingling issues 

SOLUTION

The use of a powerful Hyperion ioniser is critical to prevent the attraction of contamination. Areas to control would be immediately after corona treatment, after ink curing, and in sheeting / shingling, after die cutter during label transfer to stack or shingling table.  

Balancing the ± ionising field, the IPS bar is ideally suited where metallised stock is being printed.
